Easy Breezy Coneflowers

Hello, sweet friends! Today we have beautiful new digital image for you from Power Poppy by Marcella Hawley called Easy Breezy Coneflowers with two delightful sentiments.

Power Poppy, Marcella Hawley, Easy Breeze Coneflowers, Instant Garden Digital, August 2015

Coneflowers are gorgeous and grow in a variety of colors, and I just love how Marcella's beautiful digital images are so inspiring. I continue to be amazed at the beauty God has created.

I used GIMP to remove the background of my flowers, and I also isolated the one coneflower and used it in my "trio" of images to make a mini "field of coneflowers" for my card (one of the images is a mirror image). I brought in the sentiment, made sure it was all arranged properly, and printed it (two on a page)...and then I started coloring...and began to relax. I die cut my square, matted it with a deep rose, and then adhered it to my card base. And did you notice I did no paper piercing? I "auditioned" piercing and various kinds of doodling...and then I finally decided to go clean and simple. Ha! It did need a little something extra, and I remembered one of my favorite border punches that finished the bottom. It's quite simple, but I hope it will wish someone an "easy breezy day" to cheer them!

Oh Cheryl, your stunning coloring of blooms always bring sunshine to my day, even more so on this beautiful Saturday afternoon. I love the colors. So stunning! And though I do miss your paper-piercing, I love that you kept it clean and simple, really draw the eyes right to the cone-flowers. Have a lovely rest of your weekend Cheryl! I'm still enjoying my time away from cardmaking ;). Can't believe the kids resume school after next week! MY! Where did the summer goes?!

My oh my! Cheryl this is simply stunning! Your colouring is done to perfection, love the shade of your flowers. I'm glad you decided to keep this CAS, to showcase your Coneflowers. I love the bottom punched border, it fits perfectly with your image. Gorgeous Cheryl! I always have problems trying to make my digi sentiments fit up against my images, because of that box around the image, I just don't know how to remove it. Someday I'll figure it out! Enjoy your weekend. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful card. Hugs,

Cheryl, your cone flowers are spectacular. Your card reminds me of freshly ironed country linens. I just know Martha has a table cloth very similar. This is something very special.
