Orchid Cascade

Sweet friends, spring is on its way throughout the country, and I hope you are enjoying the weather as it begins to warm.

Today I am sharing the newest digital image, and you may recognize it from the clear stamp set called Orchids Rock. This new lovely and versatile digital stamp set is called Orchid Cascade by Marcella Hawley. Here's her delightful description:
"This showy cymbidium orchid is now available as a digital download with two fresh sentiments. A delight to color in any rainbow of hues, with a pretty arched design that works perfectly with a sentiment tucked to the right. This is one you'll turn to again and again!"

As many of you know, I love digital images because we can resize them, recolor them, reverse them, and much more. I decided to go "clean and simple" (aka CAS in the stamping world) and crop just the top portion of this beautiful orchid. It was easy to color with three simple colors, and I know I will enjoy coloring more to build up my card stash with these sweet sentiments. I used a realistic cross-stitched die that I enjoy, matted it with pink to match the petals, and then added a few sequins for interest. And that was that! Sweet, eh?

God is so gracious in giving us so many good things, and I continue to thank Him for the wonderful friendships I have made through blogging. You are so dear, and it has been a good week for me to continue to be quiet and listen to what God has for me each day. Thank you especially for your friendship.

I thank my God in all my remembrance of you,
always in every prayer of mine for you all
making my prayer with joy...
Philippians 1:3-4

I hope my stamping friends will hop on over to Power Poppy and purchase this beautiful digital image and use it today. That's the fun about digital stamps. Buy them and use them the same day!

Precious friends, thank you for your visits and for your comments that I always love reading. I cannot tell you how much it means to me that you are praying for me. God has been so gracious, and I continue to pray for you as well. May God bless and encourage each of you.

Blessings, precious friends,

Sweet Cheryl, you've done such a beautiful job with this orchid! You're always there for Marcy to showcase her digis in such an enticing way. There are so many gorgeous Power Poppy digis and I do love playing with them. This is so pretty on your diminutive card. Love that perfect cross stitch border. Just lovely!

I come here to see your beautiful artistic coloring of the digital stamps that Marcie does and for the reminder that I should be quiet and listen to what God has in Store for me. Thanks!

Oh Cheryl it is just so beautiful, surely will bring a smile to whomever is blessed to receive it. I just love the cross stitched framing of it, and how you used a piece of it like that. I need to figure out what paper will work in my printer before I spend anymore money on digital images, was so sad when my normal paper is too thick. It is a blessing to be able to share the love of this hobby with other women, I so agree. May God continue to lift you up, give you strength and good health and most of all that you will always feel the love he has for you beyond anything we can ever imagine!!

So lovely. The colors on orchids are always so striking. Saw some at Wal-mart a few weeks back that were dotted and such rich colors. Your soft pinks are so soothing. Very pretty detail from the die cut. :-)

Lol...you know what? Every time I come look at your creations, I go buy the digi! This is gorgeous, my friend! I send oodles of cards to our church congregation, and my Chemo Card Angel program, and this would be perfect for the ladies. Your coloring is always so soft and calming....this is a lovely, peaceful greeting for someone special! Thanks for always keeping us in your prayers! We could use a few extra this week. Our new grandchild that was due on March 11th had to be delivered on February 27th. He's doing better, but has a long way to go. I got the call last Monday a.m., and hopped a plane to D.C., where I will be until no longer needed (or wanted...lol). Take care! Thanks for sharing this and inspiring me always!

Clean and crisp, gorgeous flowers as always (you are the flower colouring queen!) and love the stitched border that frames the image so well. Screams spring and oh how I can't wait for it!! one of my favorite verses is "be still and know that I am God". So hard to be still sometimes and yet it is such a special time where the whispers of the Holy Spirit are heard loud and clear and the busyness and noise are subdued. May you have some special times at his feet, may His loving arms enfold you and give you strength, and may you see and receive great joy from the many gifts he brings you every day ♥ Hugest of ((hugs)) to you!

Beautiful card Cheryl! I love how you sized the image to just capture a portion. Your colouring as always done to perfection! The cross stitch border frame just adds that extra elegance. And of course I love the sequins- it's always a nice way to finish off cards. Thanks for sharing!
