Gingerbread Family - Oh My!

Hello, precious friends, and happy Wednesday! I am so excited to show you the newest digital image set by Power Poppy. This one was an extra special giggle for me, since I made my first interactive card...and posted a short video of it in action!

Today's adorable digital stamp set is called Gingerbread Family. This sweet set has so many possibilities. There are front and back versions of each gingerbread couple so you could create two-sided gift tags (or interactive cards...wink!). A two-sided gift tag with the couple would be darling, and the house could be an actual holiday card as well. So let your imagination be your guide, and have fun with this set and the sweet sentiments.

Power Poppy, Marcella Hawley, Gingerbread Family, Remixed Digital Image, October 2017

After seeing Allison Cope's tutorial on her "Inspire Me Monday" post, I decided to make my own interactive card with the gingerbread boy. Since this was my first interactive card, it was a challenge. But Allison's video is wonderful, and I encourage you to watch it and try one yourself. She is so creative and has the best instructions!

I printed the front and back sides of the gingerbread boy to fit inside the oval, found some designer paper that worked, and used red as my card base. The gingerbread boy is easy to color, and I used a fine embroidery sandwiched between my two images. The rest of the details for constructing this interactive card can be found in Allison's video. I added a banner tag and several buttons, and I added a coordinating piece of designer paper for inside the card. I quickly took a photograph of it before spinning him around for my video. Here's the card...isn't he a sweetie? Hehe!

This is my first video that I have ever uploaded for my blog, so we shall see how it goes. I blew on the gingerbread man to get him to spin. Isn't he adorable?

As I was making this card, I was reminded of how much God takes delight in giving us good things. God reminds us to seek Him and to bring our requests to Him. He loves to give us good things (according to His will and purpose in our lives).

If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts
to your children, how much more will your Father
Who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
Matthew 7:11

So I hope my stamping friends will hop over to Power Poppy and purchase this new digital release and find inspiration from the cards Nancy, Elizabeth, and I have shared. And be sure to visit the Power Poppy blog to see what Marcella Hawley has to share.

I am always so grateful for your visits and love reading each of your comments. Thank you for visiting with me today...and I hope to see you again soon. May God bless you richly today.

Blessings, dear friends,

Aw, cutest ever little gingerbread family, Cheryl, and what a great set to create garlands and ornaments with! Your darling spinning gingerbread boy reminds me of the dancers in THE POLAR EXPRESS. Great card, and I can smell your deliciousness all the way up in my home! We were 47 this morning! My husband built a little camp fire this morning to drink his morning coffee outside, and the dog was extremely frisky and happy. We have not seen Autumn weather like this for years. Hoping it hangs around for a while! Hope you are doing well, Cheryl. hugs, de

I am So disappointed, Cheryl! I was expecting some sort of Christmas song to go along with your video. Next time??

What wasn't disappointing was your fabulous card. Your twirling gingerbread man will most certainly spread holiday cheer. I just adore everything about this card.
