Sweet Pea Show

Hello, sweet friends, and happy January to you all! Sorry I'm been MIA for a while, but "life" has been interesting and kept us far too busy.

But...it's time to share another Instant Garden digital release that is sure to delight many of you who are enduring cold weather! Brrr....we are so spoiled here in South Florida.

Today's sweet digital stamp set is called Sweet Pea Show. Here are some thoughts from our artist extraordinaire, Marcella Hawley: "Aren't sweet peas just the most nostalgic, romantic, homespun flower ever? I sure think so. I've created this 'display' of some especially divine ones just for you. While you are coloring them up, I hope they also conjure up wonderful memories. Sweet Pea Show comes with a few Valentine's Day sentiments, as well as a sweet little hello."

This was an easy one to get ready for printing. I just dragged the beautiful flower image into Word, resized it to fit my die, printed it, and started coloring. I always love finding photos before I color, and what a variety of colors! The possibilities are endless. I found some soft pink sweet peas and colored, and did I ever need the relaxation that I find in coloring.

Next I cut the decorative die in a coordinating color, adhered it to the floral image, and matted it. I added some "diamonds" to give it a little glimmer, and then mounted it on a card base...and it was finished! Voila!

As some of you may know, I've struggled with health issues the last couple of years. I want to be more active in the stamping and blogging community, but at times I'm unable to accomplish all that I want. However, I am looking forward to the months ahead in hopes the doctors can figure out the source of my problems and provide me some relief.

There are many others who struggle with far worse health issues, have lost loved ones, and yet push on. January is a month to consider new beginnings, and may we each remember the Source of our hope and strength -- our caring and loving Heavenly Father.

Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28

Now it's time for my stamping friends to hop on over to Power Poppy and purchase this beautiful digital image and use it today. But first, be sure to visit my teammates to see what gorgeous cards they've made and to read what Marcy has shared about these "sweetest" blooms!"

Brilliant idea to pull up a few pictures for colouring ideas. I adore sweet peas as they are one of my mom's favorite flowers and she used to grow then in her yard so the kids could watch them climb the trellis when they were young and ooooh and ahh over it :) Plus they smell so good!! Gorgeous card!!

So sorry to hear health issues are still stealing your time. Praying this year would be a great year for you and they can determine what will bring your relief. Hugest of cyber ((hugs)) to you!!!

Dear Cheryl...you have been missed! I find January is a hard month anyway...but aren't we blessed to have a community of stamper-creaive souls that can soar ( even temporarily) above our pain and find respite and rest in creating beauty? Your card is so soft and lovely...a breath of spring for certain!! I will pray for your health and God's rest for you.

Am praying re your health for Fod ssoloutions tot he problem he has allowed in your life. "For ALL things work together for good to them that love God who are the callled, ACCORDING TO HIS purpose."
We may not see this side of heaven the why of some things and i think when we get to heaven, where we know all indeed for "we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is." I think then we really won't care about those answers. 😊 Looking forward to it so!!

Cheryl, your lovely cards have always charmed my heart. This sweet pea image has a special meaning for me because it was my youngest sister's favorite flower. She started planting these little sweetie's with the help of our mother when she was just 5 years old and she never out grew her love of them. I never see one that I don't think of her. Beautiful card my friend.
