Come Before His Presence with Thanksgiving

Hello, sweet friends! Well, it's been a very challenging time here in the States, but I hope this morning that we can focus on this wonderful Scripture verse from Word Art Wednesday that is available today.

This week's verse is Psalm 95:2-3. "Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise until Him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God, and a great king above all gods."

CherylQuilts, Designed by Cheryl Scrivens, Word Art Wednesday, November 2016

I used a floral stamp that I've had for some time and that had not seen ink, and I used some fall-like colors (for me anyway...what do we know about fall in South Florida, right?). I printed the digital verse, and then I stamped the flower onto Eclipse masking paper and cut it out so I could mask the flower around the verse. It was fun to do masking again, and I will definitely do more of it. I stamped the first flower in the bottom left and went around until I thought it looked like enough but hopefully not too much. Then I colored, which is the best part of making a card...and so relaxing. Once the coloring was done, I decided a black mat would be nice along with two curved corners...don't you think? It needed that little something extra.

Karen Letchworth shares a devotional about each Word Art Wednesday challenge verse, and I know you will be greatly encouraged by reading it.

Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving,
and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms.
For the LORD is a great God
and a great King above all gods.
Psalm 95:2-3

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you will visit the Word Art Wednesday blog to see the projects made by the rest of the design team and to pick up your free digital image. After reading the devotional about this Scripture verse, be sure to check out the fantastic sponsors. Word Art Wednesday is so blessed to have Simon Says Stamp as the primary sponsor for our challenges.

As always, precious friends, it's such a joy to hear from you. I love reading each of your comments and am blessed by your friendship. I am always happy to answer questions regarding digital images...so don't hesitate to ask anything. May God bless you richly this week.

How lovely and peaceful, Cheryl! Each delicate flower petal so beautifully, and lovingly, colored, framing your incredible sentiment from WAW! I really DO like the black matte. By the way, is your rubber stamp naturally "thick" for the petals to be so distinctively outlined? Or did you have to go around them as well? I only ask because your black matte brings out the wonderful thickness of the image. Together they are amazing! Hoping you are having a great week. hugs, de

Another beautiful card, Cheryl. I, for one, cannot praise God enough for what He did for us in America last night. There are no words to express my deep gratitude for the mercy He has extended to us...it has been a heavy, weighty burden upon my heart for so long, and today I feel like 1,000 bricks were rolled off me. All glory be to Jesus! More Christians voted than have done in decades. God showed up through His people, and the tide was turned, praise His holy name!! Have a great day!!

It has indeed been a difficult election and time here in the USA. May God heal this land and all the hurts. May we turn our eyes back to Him!!

You know dear Cheryl, your cards always stand out in the DT work, I think it's because your cards are so tasteful, you can tell you pray about a card as you go, as we're told to pray without ceasing and we ask the Lord to help us get it just right.
I love your flowers, and colouring showcasing this verse. You are such a blessing, dear sister.
Hugs and prayers for God's keeping upon you,

Cheryl, this card is so appropriate for the season, and the Challenging time we have had here in the states. The message and the way that you have illustrated it with the gorgeously colored flowers is one that I will not forget. Thank you!

Yes Cheryl it has been quite challenging and so sad to see some reactions to all of this both Christian and non Christians. Our prayer group last night focused on our country and what lies ahead. Your masking and stamping to frame this verse is just Beautiful!! The black matting was the perfect touch for it, I need to remember that :) Wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead!

Cheryl, coming to your blog is so restful and full of hope and encouragement--EXACTLY what I hope to someday achieve when I start my own little blog... Thank you for being such a great example to me in so many ways... :)

LOVE this gorgeous card where you have used some of God's own creations to illustrate and add beauty to His Word!!! I was especially taken by your great coloring, especially your leaves! The shadows created by your colorful blossoms are so well-done that the 3D dimension leaps off the page--WOW!!! Your cards always stand out to me on SCS, as do your kind, encouraging words. Thank you for so often giving me encouragement, so very very appreciated dear, sweet friend!!!

Hugs,

Joanne

Oh this floral is so beautiful and the scripture so peaceful. I've visited WordArt and saved this verse for a couple Thanksgiving cards. Sorry I haven't been around much. I'm running into some issue transfer my blogspot URL to a custom domain right now. Followed the instructions thoroughly but unsure what the issue is. Maybe just needs a few days for the DNS to completely transfer through. Anyway, I want to stop by to wish you an early wonderful and peaceful Thanksgiving Cheryl. Take care. Hugs.
