Hello, my sweet friends! It's Tuesday, and it's already been a busy week for me so far. How about you?
I didn't get to share the new remixed digi from Power Poppy by Marcella Hawley on August 25, but better late than never, right? It's called Cuppa Buttercups and is a remix from one of Marcella's very first clear stamp sets called Marcella's Mixtape. In that set is the sweetest little cup of buttercups, and now we can make it any size we want - and any color we want!
I decided to use a new die from Papertrey that has slits at the top and bottom, and I just love the open scallops. Once I determined the size, I printed it on Neenah 80-pound paper and colored the flowers. I decided to use Tempting Turquoise to mat the strip that goes through the slits and to mat the embossed background - and of course colored my cup accordingly. I printed one of the sweet sentiments from this new digi to fit the matted strip. And then after it was all put together, it was missing something. At that point, I could not pierce it, so I faux pierced it with a multi-liner pen. Then I added four small pearls - and it was ready to be mailed. I just love when it all comes together - eventually!
I enjoyed playing Saturday's Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoaststampers, which was fun. I don't get to play challenges as often as I'd like to. So it was a treat to have Harry & David's website to chose from, and I am so thankful for the great websites and Pinterest boards Audrie selects to inspire us.
What comfort it is for me to remember that each day can be a lovely day when I remember Who is in charge of all that happens. Here are two great Scripture verses that I have read the last couple of days. May they be encouraging to you as well, my precious friends!

Beautifully done, Cheryl! Your cards are always so crisp in design! Buttercups in a teacup - what a sweet combination!
Aren't they the sweetest?!?! Love your coloring and this fabulous little design! Great textured background too!
Dear Cheryl, As always you bring those images to life with your coloring, such a lovely card. The message of faith you bring to your blog is always a blessing and uplifts me so. Praying for you:)
Sweet friend, first I'd love to thank you for sharing the Bible verves. I need encouragement and God reminds me that He can be found in time of waiting.

Cheryl, your cards are always so beautiful and thank you for those lovely verses you have shared with us.
I love the blue cup with those adorable buttercups. Yellow buttercups have always been one of my favorite flowers.
The Lord bless you, sweet lady~~
Well, you know how I love dies and embossing folders and Marcy's fabulous digis... put that together with your coloring and design skills and you've got another winner! Love this, Cheryl! The blue is so pretty on the crisp white background, and the darling teacup of blooms front and center is just perfect. You always know how to let the beauty shine!
Through the wonderful Internet, I get to see your beautiful card while sailing down the Rhine River in Germany. What a wonderful and bright design you have shared. Thanks for the verses that you shared as well. I always love what you design with your digis.
Beautiful Cheryl!!! LOVE that sweet cup and flowers! Beautiful coloring as always sweet friend! I love your new die! Your card is gorgeous!
Lovely! I really like the cute buttercup image and the color choice for the petals! The new die you have is really nice! The scallops are cute with the tea cup since it looks like a doily. I also like the clean white background. TFS!
So, after reading your post today, my day is better already! Thanks for the words of encouragement! Your card is so pretty - your coloring is always beautiful, and I love the die you used. Absolutely perfect! I worked with a lady that used to say 'What's up Buttercup' all the time. Hadn't thought about her in a while - thanks for the happy memories!
Beautiful card! Your buttercups are just lovely, Cheryl!
Oh, how beautiful, my friend! You do such an amazing job! It is always a precious blessing to visit with you here. Sending you much love!
Cheryl, this is so crisp and pretty. It's absolutely beautifully colored and designed. Thanks for the sharing of scripture, it's amazing how He talks to us when we least expect it. Blessings to you!
What a pretty way of creating visual interest with the die cuts, and without taking away from your incredible coloring in that beautiful flower arrangement, Cheryl! Gorgeous! Thank you for the pretty idea with the center panel going between the two "round" elements. Beautiful card! hugs, de
