Blessings

Our Daily Bread Designs, ODBDSLC220, Faith, Butterfly Branch die, Mini Tag Sentiments, Mini Tags dies, CherylQuilts, Designed by Cheryl Scrivens

This is Week Two of our Shining the Light Sketch Challenge.

Our Daily Bread Designs, ODBDSLC220, Sketch Challenge

Once again I adjusted this sketch to make a square card (I tend to gravitate to a square card). But I truly had fun with this card using one of my favorite images from Faith. I used the matching Butterfly Branch die and fussy cut another butterfly to pop it. I used several designer paper patterns, pierced one layer, and then popped my butterfly branch with a LOT of little pop dots! Then I added the ribbon with one of the Mini Tags dies and "blessings" from the Mini Tag Sentiments. I know I will be using this set a lot in the future, and I love the different shapes of the dies. I used Copic Marker W0 to make the white edges of the butterfly branch blend with the designer paper.

Well, my sweet friends, this is my last card as a member of ODBD. I have been blessed to have been one of the "Breadsticks" since June 2013, and I am so grateful for the wonderful friendships and privilege of representing ODBD. As some of you may know, I have been dealing with chronic pain and recently ended up in the hospital. But I am regaining my strength, praise God! My sweet Challenge Team members have been such a blessing and fun to "play" with, and Chris has been the most wonderful CT Coordinator. I will miss the entire ODBD team and all my wonderful friends who have participated in the challenges and left comments. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I thank my God in all my remembrance of you,
always in every prayer of mine for you all
making my prayer with joy...
It is right for me to feel this way about you all,
because I hold you in my heart....
Philippians 1:3-7a

I will continue to make cards and post on my blog, so I hope you will visit in the new year. In the meantime, I wish you all a blessed Christmas as we celebrate God's greatest gift to us -- Jesus, our Messiah. May we eagerly long for His return to restore creation to its original glory!

To see all the designs in one place or join the challenge, please visit Our Daily Bread Designs Blog. You have until December 28 to join us. You may use any stamps to enter, but if you have any Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we would love to see you use them. By participating in the challenge, you have an opportunity to win a $15 ODBD gift certificate good towards the purchase of stamps in the "stamps column" on the ODBD website or to be "spotlighted" for the Shining the Light Award. We would love to see your designs!

Cheryl,
The card is outstanding. the DP's and paper piercing are a wonderful touch. I was so sorry to hear you ended up in the hospital with the pain. Some mornings I can barely move so I have a vague idea of what you are going through. It is so hard to push yourself some days especially with deadlines. We really appreciate that you are posting art with us in this two week challenge, at Word Art Wednesday. Blessings to you and yours, Carole Merry Christmas a day late and a blessed, happy, and healthy New Year!

Thank you for all the inspiration you have provided, and especially for the thoughtful encouraging comments you have made on my entries. I am sorry to hear about your struggles - sending prayers that you will find relief. Thank you again so much.

I'm surprised to see you leaving this team as I know it means so much to you. It is hard to keep up DT committments when you aren't feeling well. I hope you are truly on the road to feeling better. I hope your Christmas was lovely, Cheryl. I'm a little late getting around visiting as I'm still taking it easy after all the Christmas rush. It is so nice to see a floral card today. I have loved the Christmas cards, but I didn't realize how much I was missing the variety of other kinds of cards until now. This is so pretty! Hugs!

This is absolutely gorgeous at every angle...The color choice as well as the DP's have given this creation a character together with the amazing image. Love it! Thanks a lot for joining our Challenge last week at Word Art Wednesday. There's still time to enter more projects in this week's Challenge so, I hope you come back and join us again. Want to share God's Word with you found in Psalm 27:14 which says, "Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD." A Blessed and Happy New Year to you!
